The use of lures is popular for many deep sea anglers especially when trolling for larger surface species due to their ability to not only attract the fish, but handle the rigors on movement through the water as well.

However, with the large number of options available on the market, it can be a daunting task to identify which one is best for you. So in fear of generating a few arguments over what is the best type of lure to use when fishing out in the deep, I have had a look around and come up with three decent options below. Let’s check them all out.
